Celebrated our anniversary at Charlie's Grind and Grills

Kim and I celebrated our anniversary in BusinessWorld so as a gift to ourselves (as a gift of Jorge to us)  we've gone in Charlie's, big thanks to him for being with us this day though, he's the only men in the celebration he never hesitated to join us.

All of us except Mhaan and Jorge had worked this day so we went there after office hours and because ate Marilyn had plans for this day he didnt join us. So, we took a picture together in their department before leaving the office.

Feeling ko kasi nakakatampo pag may isang wala sa photo kaya lahat nilagay ko para FAIR. hihi. and now moving on sa Foodies! :)

I've forgotten the names of the burgers and everything that we ate, if you want kindly check it here for their menu's and prices.

And were ready to eat, I must say, foods were excellent the price is very reasonable for those who have but for those who don't it's a bit pricey for a "burger". So, you should try it to yourself to see what i mean :) but nonetheless GO TRY!

when cravings strikes AGAIN in Cake 2 Go

We went to cake to go after work in Timog Ave., to buy cake for the birthday of Kim's sister
I think she asked us to accompany her since she didn't know the way to go there. at dahil mabait kami ni Mich sumama kami maaga din kasi nagpauwi nun dahil holy thursday na kinabukasan meaning walang pasok! yipeee!

at yun from office sumakay kami ng jip hanggang sa circle sa may tomas at naglakad hanggang cake 2 go, pagdating namin dun definitely, knowing us we cant resist in the temptest flavors of the cake. hihi.

their venue had a cool ambiance,the color of the wall and the writings on it made it more informative everyone inside wouldn't escape from getting their eyes on the ceiling.

The price of the flavored cakes ranges from 400 to 700 pesos, they also had classifications on their cakes namely Cakes 2 comfort, New 2 taste cakes, Twist 2 perfection, sugar free selections and bars and cookies.

Their cakes were very tempting and we cant resist that's why aside from accompanying Kim in the store we three dine and tried their cakes.

We ordered Quattro Leches, Toblerone overload and Devil's Food Cheesecake from the name itself it already sounds interesting amongst the cakes this three passed our curiosity and had tried it after a not so long discussion on what to choose for.

Devil's Food Cheesecake Php 645 for a 7 1/2" round cake

Devil's cheesecake has a layers of rich choco cake filled with baked NewYork cheesecake and topped of with fudge frosting, chocolate thorns and dusted with cocoa powder. 

The sweetness and softness of the cake was just right you can really tell that you're eating chocolate cake with a twist of cheesecake and if you love chocolate cakes this one will surely be on you top list.

Quattro leche's Php 540 for 7 1/2" round cake

a sweet, creamy and tasty Quattro leches cake, in terms of its texture it was soft and the flavor was just right at hindi nakakaumay.

Toblerone Overload Php 640 for 7 1/2" round cake

When I heard about the toblerone cake I was curious and what I'm thinking was, if i ate it maybe it's just like I'm eating a toblerone chocolate and im intrigue still. With this I think I was right though it didn't taste like the chocolate toblerone (syempre cake nga ito) it had a kick of the mixture of all the flavors of the toblerone chocolate in one, the softness and the sweetness of the different layers of the cake was delicious. The way it was baked and was presented was really inviting. :)

Were all satisfied and full after what had happened in our stay/dine at Cake 2 Go.

My First Food Blog / A Taste of MoonLeaf tea

Just to give everyone an insight in my blog, when i decided to write a blog i told myself that i will start it from my past travels and so as of the moment what you can see in my blog were from my travels in the past, the present is still in queue. and for the meantime i will stop writing about my travels in the past to give way to the entries that i need to write first, it's  about one of my favorite things to do. "Foods". :P

I'm not a fan of milk tea's, knowing the growth of the business in the Philippines this year. I've seen shops whenever I went to Mall and other places but i haven't tried it even once until a blogger friend invited me to an event that was organized by open rice, the event gathered 12 bloggers (newbies was welcome and that's me) to tried moonleaf's tea and wrote reviews afterwards.

Moon leaf is a franchising business they operated 28 branches the biggest is located in Maginhawa st., in Katipunan (the location for the event) and another in Makati, they also had branches in Indonesia, Thailand and Germany.

Moonleaf had their unique way with regard to their tea's, they brewed it in their store. All of the products mainly tea's were directly exported from Taiwan, one of the tea products in the world.

Moonleaf's wants to foster/ build a community "Tambayan" type for their target customers mainly students they also wanted to make milk tea as an experienced for everyone. They value minimalist type of operation and focuses on the excellent quality of their drinks.

Upon seeing the cool and comfortable place of Moonleaf what i felt was the ambiance is good for everyone,  it has a place for those who wanted to chit-chat, smoke and turn their Laptops on and vice versa with a piece of milk tea on their tables.

My suggestion is the place needs a bigger space to accommodate its' customers and also, they  need to refurnished their tables and chairs.  Having said this, the management informed us that this year they will make a major renovations for their stores. With this, customers will definitely feel the community that they want to feel whenever they want to have their cup of milk tea.

Having seen all the photos posted here on my blog I must say Moonleaf was able to accomplished all the thoughts that they want for their shop.

A good quality of service will welcome all their customers in Moonleaf, everyone needn't wait for too long for their orders to be placed and for them to taste. Staffs were nice and always wears a smile on their face and ready to help all the customers with their needs with their orders.

And the best part of the day is knowing what moonleaf has to offer for their customers of course milk tea and the likes.

The price of milk tea ranges from P 45- P55 for Basic tea's,  P50 - P75 pesos for Milk tea's, P50 - P75 for fruit  and for the add-ons aditional P10 pesos for Milk, Nata, Pearls, Pudding and for Aloe Vera additional P15 pesos.

Milk tea's (Hakka, White Taro and Winter Melon)

As a first timers we tried their best sellers namely Hakka, Winter Melon and White Taro, we passed the milk tea's to ourselves to taste the difference amongst the three. Of course the three had differences, I ordered Hakka, nata and pearl are in perfect blend with the milk tea and you really can tell that you're drinking a tea (lasang-lasa ang tea) i tastes good, the sweetness of the tea is just right. I'd enjoyed the tea.  (pero ang gusto ko sana yung d ko malalasahan yung tea hehehe). Nata and Pearls are soft and sweet. :P

I also tried their red velvet cupcake, it was freshly baked and tasty actually one isn't enough hihi. :)

Kim ordered winter melon, light and not as sweet as Hakka and mas lasang-lasa ang tea pwedeng-pwede sa Mama ko na mahilig sa tea. :)

Jorge ordered White Taro with pearls and pudding, smooth, sweet and well blended (walang latak ng powder) masarap din yung pudding, amongst the three what i liked the most is the white taro secondly my Hakka and third is the winter melon. 

After all what matters was how you enjoyed your day with your choice of milk tea. :)

And that's my POV in Moonleaf's tea even though I'm not a fan of milk tea's this experienced help me to realized that i wanna try another Milk tea from different stores to distinguish which one is the best.

Whenever our boss in the office was not around we called it our independence day! and this date was one at least for Mich and I except Kim, and so we went outside for lunch. I actually forgot the real plan, as far as i could  remember the plan was to ate in a restaurant in Tomas Morato and the budget for food was 200/pax. and so we walked and keep on having a second thought with regard to the place where we will eat, so the counting continues until we passed by this place.

And because we still had time after we ate in Myrna's bulalo and would like to have desert Kim and I suggested if we could try Yogurt and since Yohgurt Froz is in the oppossite side of Myrna's Bulalo we went there to have desert, It was the first time we tried Yohgurt Froz.

 We spent 120-150 each for our Yoghurt Froz. you should try it too and judge it the way you tasted it! :)

Were all full and satisfied on all of what we had this day the inexpensive lunch and the sour/sweet yogurt for desert.
