untold adventure in Bulacan

My friends and I were always teasing Jorge to treat us somewhere then one day i posted a status on my facebook account regarding our bohol trip that gained likes and numerous comments from my friends that leads to this adventure.

March 5, 2011

Jorge invited us (Mitch, ate Marlyn, Mhaan, Kim and I) to visit there place (San Miguel Bulacan) but unfortunately Kim and Mhaan didn't make it and so the three of us Mitch, ate Marilyn and I proceeded to the plan despite the unfavorable weather that day. (ang totoo pinilit lang namin si jorge na ilibre kami, pero gusto din naman niya kaya ok lang bwahahaha).

We rode a bus going to Cabanatuan (ES Transport) in Cubao dropped off at Orente and proceeded to Jorge's house before proceeding to our one day adventure. (120 fare from cubao to orente).

Jorge's ancestral house
all of us got amazed when we entered the gate because we never imagined that this is the place where Jorge's lives (hehe) moving on we entered their house.

Welcome!
The place was so inviting and very relaxing and so we didn't waste any second and get in the house.

Once you've entered the door this holy statues (poon) will welcome you.

the living room
syempre dapat may pic dn kami hehe!
The family of Jorge were very accommodating, nice and religious too. after photos taken we ate early lunch and prepared for our trip. (actually Jorge did all the preparation).

And so the trip began.
ate Marilyn, Yen and Mich! Jorge was on the backseat

What we knew then, was we were heading to Biak na Bato so we didn't mind the long time going there when suddenly the tricycle where were on couldn't carry us up so we get off and walk instead.
ate Marily and Mich! I'm saying wait for me!
When we reached the top and seen the place we asked Jorge if this is the place called "Biak na Bato" and he said "No" and so where were at? he said the place is called "Banal na Bundok" and according to him during holy week many devotees were there to pray and reflect. I must say the place was holy because of the holy scriptures that was there and the serenity of the place add to that, maybe this was the reason why it's called the "holy mountain".

first look under renovation pa ang ibang place.

the super high stairs
medyo pagod na ko pero game pa din sa picture
Big Stones
the chapel up the hill
the big cross up hill
nakarating na din kami.
Inside the chapel may nanggagaya sa statue

after saying our prayers we went outside the chapel and started to get down on the holy mountain.

As we finished the walk through the mountain all the sweat and pains that we endure during the walk were all gone upon seeing what's waiting for us on the top, the cool breeze of the air and the wonderful scenes that we've seen mountains and clouds were truly an unforgettable experience that we wont forget.

with Jorge (the tour guide)

see what's written in my shirt?
When we've get down we took photos again, we never know when can we visit the place again so we make the most out of it.
ang service namin!
after pictures taken were now heading to our next destination in "Biak na Bato" i will write it on a different post.

No entrance fee in Holy Mountain.

Doing the things that we'd loved to "Magtipid ng sulit"

When we want something though sometimes it's not easy to have it, we really do what we can to satisfy our wants.

Feb 28, 2011

Whenever our boss in the office was not around we called it our independence day! and this date was one at least for Mich and I except Kim, and so we went outside for lunch. I actually forgot the real plan, as far as i could  remember the plan was to ate in a restaurant in Tomas Morato and the budget for food was 200/pax. and so we walked and keep on having a second thought with regard to the place where we will eat, so the counting continues until we passed by this place.
the facade
we stopped and read the menu outside, and when we realized that it was not that expensive, we decided to get in and tried their food.
what's inside
may branch sila sa singapore!
at kumain pa pala dito si charice!
and the Myrna's Bulalo! 90 pesos per order
69 pesos meal your choice of viand and veggie plus soup!
And now were ready to eat!
Solb na solb! kita naman sa smile namin! :)
And because we still had time after we ate in Myrna's bulalo and would like to have desert Kim and I suggested if we could try Yogurt and since Yohgurt Froz is in the oppossite side of Myrna's Bulalo we went there to have desert, It was the first time we tried Yohgurt Froz.

Tuloy po kayo!
different toppings to choose from!

nahhirapan pumili!
nakapili na si Mich!
Yoghurt with almond nuts and cheesecake ala Mich!
Yoghurt with chocolate kisses, brownies and Mango ala Yen!
Yohgurt with Flakes, almond nuts and Mango ala Kim!
were all done waiting for our orders and now it's time to eat!
We spent 120-150 each for our Yoghurt Froz. you should try it too and judge it the way you tasted it! :)

Were all full and satisfied on all of what we had this day the inexpensive lunch and the sour/sweet yogurt for desert.

What's next?.... Back to work! :)

Dora's first night out in Laguna

It was all started here..,

October 29, 2010

Kim and I were craving for a new flavor of DQ ice cream and since Mich is on the go we proceeded in our plan and went out after office hours but unfortunately we ended up having our friday night in coffeebean.
from right Mich, Kim and I
needn't we knew that while having a cup of coffee and other foods we will come up with a plan, to went out of town that is not that far from Manila.
yumyum..
and so we derived a plan to have an overnight stay in laguna and find another destination near the place to went for after,.

Almost after a month we already had plans, the plan was to go to Laguna after work, stay in Rockpoint Hotel and Spa for the night, and the day after was to enjoy the facilities of the hotel and we'll go in Enchanted Kingdom.

and so the planned date came.

November 26, 2010

the day was friday and since we all have work then we, except ate Marilyn brought with us our things for the trip in the office, and after office hours we've gone as plan with ate Marilyn, Mhaan, Mich, Kim and I.
ready to Go!
and since ate Marilyn didn't brought her things with her she went home for it and agreed to met us at Alimall so the four of us went to the place and had dinner in KFC while waiting with ate Marilyn, (muntik pa xa maligaw at d kami makita hehehe). When she arrived in the place we headed straight to the terminal but unfortunately the terminal in alimall going to Laguna was nowhere to be found because there's none or they moved out and so we took a cab going to Cubao terminal and there we found the bus bound to Laguna.
seatmates!
on the other side!
It was past eight when we left Manila.
our destination!
after almost two hours and a half travel we reached the place it was eleven pm when we arrived, good thing we made reservation before hand and had the premiere room for 5 pax that cost us around 3k plus.
Front desk!

we then changed clothes and prepared for the next activity.
from right ate Marilyn, me, kim and mha.
readyng-ready na sa videoke!

After a few songs that we sang ate Marilyn started to share her utmost feelings with her boyfriend (plus factor pa ang pagkanta ng till my heartaches end) and so we gave our sympathy with her and listened to her story.

When we ended sharing our own insights with the dilemma of ate Marilyn we decided to get back in our room and rested.
